The Kazandol Copper Project was developed with a planned production capacity of 4,000 tonnes per annum of copper cathode, employing a conventional heap leach–solvent extraction–electrowinning (HL-SX-EW) flowsheet. The process design was based on extensive metallurgical testwork conducted on both low-grade and higher-grade ore samples, confirming the technical feasibility of copper recovery through hydrometallurgical processing.
A full feasibility study (FS) was completed, after which detailed process design and engineering were executed to support project implementation, together with an operations manual to ensure optimized plant performance and a framework for safe and efficient operation.
