Located next to the Pregnant Leach Solution (PLS) pond on the Assarel-Medet property, the ion exchange project treats a combined feed of drainage waters from the Eastern dump and Barrage No. 3, and excess solutions from the PLS pond. This compact and efficient plant plays a key role in copper recovery from low-grade leachates and mine drainage.
