Project Information

The Devnya Waste Treatment Plant (DWTP) was an advanced facility engineered to efficiently process a diverse range of metal-containing wastes — designed to produce 2,400 tonnes per annum of copper as LME Grade A cathode and 2,400 tonnes per annum of zinc as Special High Grade (SHG) cathodes. By integrating advanced hydrometallurgical technology with operational flexibility, the plant was able to maintain consistent production rates even when the composition of feed materials varied.

With a capacity to handle up to 22,000 tonnes of feed material annually, DWTP facilitated the recovery of valuable metals while minimizing environmental impact. In addition to copper and zinc, the facility was designed to produce synthetic gypsum, lead-containing and brass products, maximizing resource utilization and supporting a circular approach to industrial waste management.
